The essence of sports curriculum: The sports curriculum, the compulsory public courses, which focuses on physical training and exercise, aims to strenghten students’ body , boost their health and most importantly, to cultivate their passion for sports through pragmatic physical education and exercise in scientific methods . The sports curriculum, an indispensable part of the college’s curricular system and the foundation of our sports undertaking, plays a major role in promoting quality-oriented education and nurturing all-round talents. Our sports curriculum includes PE courses, morning exercise and extracurricular physical activities.

Overall missions:

1. To provide quality physical education for all students throughout their college years with an aim to enrich the physical well-being of individuals, thus facilitating an all-round development.

2. To develop a scientific curriculum system in which sport courses stand at the heart and early mourning exercise and sport clubs play the supplementary role. To establish a curriculum system concentrating on sport courses supplemented by early mourning exercise and sport clubs or associations.

Students engaged in sport activities are expected to:

1, Forge proper sports values, develop a positive attitudes towards exercise and make exercise a daily habit.

2. Be capable of testing and evaluating their physical fitness, of making feasible personal exercise plan and appreciating the beauty of sport.

3. Master basic skills and techniques of two or three types of fitness activities in order to take exercise in a scientific way.

4. Set goals for body building in line with one’s physical and mental conditions.

5. Strengthen one’s mind and build optimism by participating in sports activities so as to maintain a quality interpersonal relationship.

6. Explore the fun and savor the gratification of sports.

7. Follow sports ethics and display teamwork spirit.

Students are required to:

1. Attain a minimum of 3 credits for sport courses

2. Meet the National Student Health&Fitness Standards

3. Have an attendance rate over 90% of early mourning exercise and extra-curricular sports activities
